AMY ALEXANDER

“Twenty to Bounce” Amy bartends by night and does marketing and graphic design by day. She is a lover of music, traveling, and leaving people better than she found them and learning something new every day!

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Wear that, you look amazing, don’t date that guy, and travel now!

What’s your favorite beer and why?
Identity IPA is my favorite beer. It has just the right amount of hops and flavor.

What’s your superpower?
My superpower is I am a human confessional! People love to tell me their secrets. But if I was to choose a superpower it would be to speak and understand every language.

Alyssa Snyder

Alyssa, aka “Little Bits” is a bartender by night and by day she is the Director of Community Engagement & Entrepreneurship for the Teen Action & Support Center (TASC), where she works with teens to help them create and connect with meaningful endeavors in the community. She’s also Cofounder/Chief Seeder at Seeds that Feed, working with regional farmers to help reduce waste and get healthier foods out into the hands of people who need it most.

What’s a hobby or personal passion of yours?
Creating beautiful songs for, and about, my animals.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Hands down a turtle. Some may say I’m slow, I’d just say I take my time at things.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Talk as much as you want, don’t contain your excitement, and carry millions of tadpoles from the pool to the pond, bucket by bucket, if you want… it’s not crazy. Because most adults have no idea what they are doing, either. We’re all just making it up as we go along.

What’s your favorite beer and why?
Crisis Identity IPA… because it’s delicioooouuuus. Also, a newly discovered love of Cerebral Brewing’s Rare Trait IPA. Much like I was after my first Identity, I can’t stop thinking about it. And, if I had lots of dollars, I would probably fly out to Denver right now just to have one.

Likes:
Pretty much anything in nature, bugs, rocks, hiking, floating whenever I can, eating delicious things, drinking delicious things, days without timelines, exploring, traveling, asking questions, getting lost on dirt roads, animals of all kinds even though I’m allergic, live music, non-live music, discovering what makes people happy, knowing the best versions of others, finding the best version of me, learning things… creating things. Singing to animals in a falsetto voice.

Dislikes
Being rushed.

Margaret Thomas

Margaret, aka “Lollie” is a bartender by night and by day she’s the Chief Feeder for Seeds that Feed, a nonprofit she founded that serves the food insecure in Northwest Arkansas.

Favorite song/artist?
Y’all, I love some old school 90’s rap. I will never sing for you, but my friends…they know. Also, all music, in general, is inspiring. Currently, diggin on Rainbow Kitten
Surprise, Lizzo, Lake Street Dive, and always Jenny Lewis in the rotation.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Nobody is judging you as hard as you judge yourself.

What’s your favorite beer and why?
Crisis Fayzed NE IPA for sure! I crave it during the week when we are closed. It’s more than just the juicy, delicious taste. Drinking one after an 8-hour shift, as I sit
on the back deck, I reflect on the day and laugh about conversations I’ve had with customers, let my body have a little relax, and it’s the perfect way to end a day at Crisis.

Fun Fact – something people might not know about you.
I was homeschooled from 1st through 7th grade. When I was 5, I started playing piano by ear after listening to my brothers and sisters play songs. The piano also became a huge comfort for me growing up. When I was upset or angry, I would go and bang out some songs on the piano. It was a great way to safely get out aggression, being the youngest of five and all.

Sean Slape

Sean is the Co-Founder and Head Brewer at Crisis.

What’s a hobby or personal passion of yours?
I run so that all the beer I drink won’t stick to me.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Honey badger. I think you know why.

Favorite song/artist?
That is a tough one and has been the topic of debate around campfires for a while now. I think I would go with Pink Floyd ‘Learning to fly’ all-time but I listen to a lot of hard music and ambient house chill.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Don’t do stupid shit. And you definitely know what stupid shit is. Listen to people that know what they are talking about. You would be much better served and every lesson doesn’t have to be learned the hard way.

Favorite quote?
“The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.” – Albert Einstein

What’s your superpower?
Reading the instructions.

What’s your favorite beer and why?
Frost Beer Works ‘Lush Double IPA’ It has such a smooth, full body with crazy hop aromatics. The amount of bitterness is perfect. Strong but not harsh and I could drink can after can until I passed out!

top selling craft beers

Liz Slape

Liz is the other Co-Founder and does everything except make the beer.

What’s a hobby or personal passion of yours?
Cooking. My most requested dish is Silky Corn Soup with King Crab Meat and Truffle Oil. Gordon Ramsay says truffle oil is stupid, but he can’t be right about everything.

What’s your favorite beer and why?
Know it’s cliché, but Pliney the Elder. I also love the crazy hopped NE IPAs that burn your palette right off, but Pliney is such a clean, bright beer.

Favorite song/artist?
I always ask people if they could only listen to one album for the rest of their life, what would it be? For me it’s easy: Joni Mitchell’s Blue.

What’s your superpower?
Not sleeping well. I have hours every night to mull things over and figure things out.
